If you want to start faxing online with zero costs, you can try the many options of free downloadable fax software.  This type of programs come in two types:

Freeware, this is totally free downloadable fax software that only relies on donations to keep being developed.  There are nice programs out there if what you need is a simple fax software that pretty much takes care of sending and receiving documents.

Shareware, on the other hand, is paid software that is offered free with limited functions or for a limited time (this is in most cases 30 days).  Shareware needs payment if you want to keep using it or if you want to enjoy all the features.

Is this type of software really useful?  Yes, but only if you plan to start in the World of faxing; if you have a business and it relies heavily on fax communications, we’d recommend trying a paid option or internet faxing services that can be easily accessed online.
