Should I Consider a Fax Server for My Business?
Though faxing might seem outdated, many businesses that deal with contracts and signed documents still use the technology. If paper jams, endless ringing, and a constant queue of employees around the fax machine are a problem for your business, you could probably use a fax server. Fax servers receive documents from network users, convert them to faxes, and then send them over the telephone line or Internet. They also receive faxes, store them, and send them out to end users. Fax servers are convenient because employees don't need to leave their desks, and the fax transmissions are silent and digital, which saves on paper. Although primarily designed for larger companies, many fax servers include software and a fax modem that performs multiple tasks.
